The Client
Our client is a general medical and surgical health care facility located in the Midwest. Their location includes a 12-bed hospital and a 58-bed nursing home. They offer the convenience of locally provided health care 24-hours a day, and a comprehensive list of medical services; including inpatient, outpatient and home health; coupled with the most extensive professional staff and medical equipment in the area.
The Need
Prior to 2018, the client received an extension of the Cerner EHR through a hosted solution from another local facility. The organization was highly dissatisfied with the services supplied and looked to set up a new partnership to improve its technology capabilities.
The client evaluated several solutions and ultimately undertook a strategic effort to transition to the Epic EHR through partnership with another major health system. However, the offering did not include an ERP solution. The client needed to buy and support an ERP system that offered integration to the Epic EHR and a fully hosted model at affordable costing.
